The moviemakers have of course been careful to soften the shock of this dee-double-daring event. The marriage takes place way back in the 1870s and is not shown on the screen. The Indian girl is played by a pretty young actress (Debra Paget) who is obviously of sturdy Nordic stock, and the rest of the picture is so dull that moviegoers may not care what happens to the characters anyway...
