Notwithstanding the bad weather, a large audience attended the vesper service yesterday afternoon at Appleton Chapel. After a prayer by Dr. Alexander McKenzie, the congregation read responsively the 33d Psalm. Dr. McKenzie next read from the Revised Version the parable of the "Ten Talents." The lesson of this parable is that a man should adapt himself to circumstances. The demands made upon a man by modern life are, notwithstanding all its appliances and inventions, much more severe than at any time in the past.
