...freshmen, Greg Shuman and Danny Mayer, led the way for Harvard over the weekend as they both finished tied for 11th. Their two day scores equaled 153, with Shuman shooting 77 and 76 and Mayer 74 and 79. Sophomore Michael Shore was 38th (161), freshman Peter Singh was 44th (164), and classmate Nick Molsey was 47th (167). ...Crimson, playing its season opener, had equalized the score only thirty seconds earlier. Junior back Devon Shapiro scored off a penalty corner with 36 seconds left in the game to tie the score at 1-1. All the scoring came after halftime. Rhode Island opened the scoring in the 44th minute, and the score remained the same until near the end. Connolly played well for Harvard, making eight saves.
