...Eight crews took part: four freshman crews, two academic and two Sheffield, and two from each of the classes of 1906 and 1907. The junior crew broke the record for the course in one of the prettiest races seen at Lake Whitney in a long time. The time was 4m. 47 4-5s., lowering the previous record by one-fifth of a second.
