...Harvard Association of Western New York gave their annual dinner last Saturday evening in Buffalo. President Eliot, who had been a guest of the Chicago Harvard Club on the 9th, and who was then on his way to Washington, was present and spoke. Referring to college athletics, President Eliot said he approved of intercollegiate contests within reasonable limits, but he would like to see the number of matches restricted and freshman matches done away with.
