Radcliffe's student body has voted to abolish assembly by a 5 to 1 majority, results of an all-college referendum taken in Agassiz and the dormitories revealed last night. Instituted in 1945 as a legislative group and a sounding board for student opinion, assembly consisted of 100 members from all four classes. The vote confirmed Student Council feeling that assembly no longer served its original functions...

Harried by losses of tutors to the armed services and other Universities, the Department of Economics voted in 1946 to abolish its tutorial. This year Economics 10, "Thesis for Honors," has been struck from the catalogue. Together, the two measures now leave Economics concentrators little personal contact with their instructors outside the classroom.
