...University football squad was given a long secret practice yesterday, and the men were kept on the field until it was impossible to follow the course of the ball on account of darkness. There was no scrimmage but the preliminary work was much harder than usual. The practice as a whole was most encouraging. Coach Cutts put the line men through a stiff breaking through drill, and the ends were given lots of defensive work by Coaches Campbell and Leary.
