...frieze-course across the front of the building has been inscribed in Roman capitals "The Harry Elkins Widener Memorial Library." The same inscription will be carved on the similar space across the south end of the building. Two statues will be placed on the pedestals at either side of the steps in front, but the subjects for these pieces have not yet been decided...
