I realize there is a crisis, but President Carter and the Congress could take action to solve it, instead of sitting up in Washington drawing big salaries for nothing...

If anything, it is a tacit recognition of the new Muzorewa government, which strikes me as both responsible and morally sensitive. The resolutions were ill-conceived. But the problem goes further: the phrase 'Ian Smith's internal settlement' is misleading and false, and the settlement itself is definitely not farcical...

...conclude from this stance that no action need be taken is entirely unrealistic in the case of J.P. Stevens products. A student being consigned to a Stillman Infirmary bed is not in a position to demand his sheets not be Stevens-produced. Nor would anything but chaos result if athletes were to search piles of towels to avoid the Stevens ones. In both cases, moreover, students cannot escape paying for Stevens when they pay for these services...
