...spent 9 months in prison on marijuana-related charges. But you once said that you never considered yourself a pot activist, just an actor who showed the audience what it looks like to be stoned. Do you still believe that? Activism, to me, I don't know if it really works. It may work for somebody else, but it does not work for me. The government did not like the fact that I was advertising bongs or that my son's company was advertising bongs in High Times. So they started a thing called "Operation Pipe Dreams...

...Even if it were just a question of having people agree with your policies, he'd win a Senate seat in the state, where Barack Obama is ahead of John McCain. But getting elected means making people believe you can relate to them, and that's why Franken - writer, actor, comedian, talk-show host and longtime denizen of Saturday Night Live - is running behind Republican Senator Norm Coleman...

...Russell Crowe, Daniel Day-Lewis and Robert De Niro in his body-punishing Raging Bull days, and Downey brings a nice pomposity to his blackface posturing and righteous-pimp drawl. (The joke, by the way, is clearly not on African Americans; it's on the actor's belief that he can play anyone.) But Lazarus and the others out there in the jungle don't evolve or devolve; they are figures from an SNL skit or the director's own very smart Ben Stiller Show back...
