TIME Inc. need not worry that "good U. S. citizens" are condemning it for giving space to World Peaceways advertisements, even the "HELLO SUCKER" ad which prompted that tinhorn outburst from the Legion's ballyhoo director. Rather, "good U. S. citizens stand . . . united" in applauding the timely courage and vision that has prompted World Peaceways, assisted by FORTUNE et al., to picture the stark horror of war and what it does to those who fall its victims...

The second portion of Things to Come contributes a reductio ad absurdum of Fascism which should cause it to be banned in Germany and Italy. The climax of the picture is an even more explicit description of a Wellsian Utopia than that foresighted author has ever divulged to his reading public. Premier Okada, who by a miracle also escaped assassination by soldiers, continued to hold office ad interim last week while search was conducted for a new Premier & Cabinet. In Japan this is anything but a straightforward process. A subject is commissioned by the Son of Heaven to form a Cabinet, but he cannot do so and become Premier unless he successfully supplicates an Army officer to deign to act as War Minister and a Navy officer to deign to become Naval Minister in his Cabinet...
