President Eliot addressed the fifty-eighth annual meeting of the Massachusetts Teachers' Association in Tremont Temple yesterday, afternoon on "The Functions of the Larger Education Conventions." He pointed out the wonderful growth and increasing usefulness of educational conventions and outlined the various kinds of educational associations. President Eliot said that until recently New England had not shown as much interest in these conventions as other parts of the country, but that there is now a much more favorable feeling towards them than ever before.
