Godfrey L. Cabot '82, President of the New England Aero Club yesterday presented the University Aeronautical Society with the price of the Aeromarine seaplane which they have just acquired from the Navy, The Aeronautical Society had already raised sufficient funds from its members to pay for the plane; the gift of Mr. Cabot will enable them to use this money for upkeep expenses. The plane is now at Gloucester, N. J., and will be shipped to arrive here the latter part of next week, when it will be set up at Marblehead by members of the Aeronautical Society...

Through the influence of those who are members of the society, the Engineering School has been persuaded to consider in its future expansion the establishment of practical courses in aero-mechanics. In its attempt to establish the practicability and security of the aeroplane, the Association has furthermore secured the financial backing of the largest American manufacturers of flying machines. ...last two days, March 12 and 13, of the Aero Show, which opens in New York City on Saturday, there will be held a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Intercollegiate Flying Association, when the rules governing the intercollegiate air race on May 7 and 8 will be discussed and formulated. Squads of possible contestants will be nominated, financial matters determined, and duties assigned to the various officers. A report will also be made on plans for seaplane races.
