Usage:

"The Wanderer" contains what is best about this album--the combination of lyrics, instruments and vocals into an evocative artistic whole. At the same time, the music is difficult to enjoy on an aesthetic level for these same reasons. The cacophony of noise doesn't make for pleasant listening.

Otherwise, the "Aperto" is apocalyptic trivia, devoid of aesthetic impulse. The project was long overdue, as the dorms, though livable, were in serious need of improvements to resolve structural and aesthetic problems. Given only the summer months during which no students inhabited the dorms, the time constraints were formidable.

Rameau's Niece has some redeeming moments, Schine has a good eye for detail and for capturing the essence of a scene, it is becoming her own aesthetic signature. Ultimately, the work crumbles under the weight of its unwieldy structure and its astonishing social anachronisms.
