Winthrop House annexed the Agassiz Cup in the first House crew race yesterday, held on a 1 3-4 mile course on the Charles. Winthrop led the combination crew, composed mostly of Leverett House men, by barely a length, while Dunster was two lengths behind and Eliot four and a half lengths. Dunster, Eliot, and Winthrop Houses will enter crews in the first official House crew race tomorrow on a 1 3/4 mile course, ending near the Union Boat Club. The winner will annex the Agassiz Cup, presented in 1931 by G. R. Agassiz '84, president of the Board of Overseers. A combination crew made up of Leverett and Adams House men will also row the course, although it will be ineligible for the award. Men on probation will be permitted to row in this race...
