Since the elimination of the Boston Arena by fire a short time ago the Charles River has become the best available skating rink for members of the University. As though cognizant of the responsibility of making good thus placed upon it, the river, aided by the present cold weather, has produced an excellent surface of smooth ice, which has brought out many skaters in the last few days...

...attend Chapel is at once a duty and an opportunity. When presence at Chapel was made voluntary by the University some years ago it was the tacit understanding that the honor and good judgment of the men would ensure their continuance of the custom. But recently neither of these virtues appear to have exercised a favorable influence upon the attendance.
