The sensation of the week was the rejection by the British Trade Union Council of a "strike fund" check for 250,000 gold rubles ($125,000) despatched to it by the All-Russian Central Council of Trade Unions. Reports promulgated by the Russian Information Bureau declared that, on Feb. 1, the All-Russian Union of Professional Hunting Cooperatives had enrolled 230,000 families.
