After this nadir, the concert got under way in earnest. The last two movements of the Mozart went quite well. They chose exciting tempi and played with admirable feeling and expression. The final Allegro was particularly pleasing with a nice rhythmic drive, and exactness of nuance, and an attention to phrasing which deserve praise...

During the first movement, Allegro, certain motifs played by the violinist were to be echoed by the violist, who, in contrast, failed to match the agility and lightness of Schneider's playing. The group did, however, make very effective transitions and tempo changes. Played with apparent quickness and ease, the Menuetto Allegretto had an incomparable dance-like quality.
