...West End road has three power stations, one at Allston, another in Boston, and a third in East Cambridge. This arrangement has been found far more expensive than it would be to have several more stations, and the power proportionately lessened. About the same number of men went on the second hare and hounds run as were on the first. The trail was laid out through Allston and Cottage Farms and was about seven miles in length. The hares, Marsters and Ross, were out just 55 minutes and the first hounds came in 14 minutes later, being beaten by two minutes. A strong wind scattered the scent and this fact doubtless handicapped the hounds considerably...
