...expectation has been amply justified by the event. For although but twenty men were present out of a membership of forty-nine in Minnesota, the meeting was the most cheerful, the most coraial, the most wide-awake, in the history of the club. The various copies of the CRIMSON, the Monthly, and the Advocate, so generously contributed to the club, were seized upon with avidity; extracts were read from the president's last report, and the various matters of moment in the policy and opportunities of the university were the subjects of lively discussion. ANNUAL THEATRICALS.The annual theatricals of the Conference Francaise were given in the old Hasty Pudding Building before a large audience. "Les Deux Sourds" a well known play by Moineaux was given first. Mr. C. H. C. The following score was made out without reference to the 45-yard line, hence the highest possible score is 150 pints...
During the Easter vacation, the nine took its usual spring trip, which on the whole was very successful. Although but two victories can be claimed, yet the practice was very valuable in showing where the weak points lie and the best means for remedying them. In all, six games were played; two defeats by the Washington's, one each from the Philadelphias and Bergen Points and two games won from the University of Pennsylvania was the result of the week's trip. The team was made up as follows: McBride, 1b; Calhoun, 2b; Cushing, s.s; Noyes, 3b; G. McClintock...
