...Varsity eleven won its fourth consecutive match this season from the Mystic Club of Medford. Although some of the best men were absent, the Score was very creditable. For Harvard, Brown's batting was very fine, and he played a steady innings of 39, carrying his bat. The bowling of the college team was also effective, especially that of Markoe, who took 9 wickets for 10 runs. For the Mystics, J. and C. Carmichael did the best work. ...played strictly on its merits. Eighty-seven made only two fielding errors, which cost her nothing and were most excusable, and Eighty-eight's errors with the exception of dropped flies were also excusable. Eighty-seven also out-batted as as well as out-fielded her opponents. although her hits were not bunched and did not net her as many runs as they might have. The feature of the game was Thayer's catching, especially of hot foul tips, and his throwing to bases, which was excellent, Eighty-seven stealing but two bases off him. Coolidge and Austin played brilliantly...

Yesterday afternoon '89 and '90 played the closest game of the season thus far. '90 put Young in to catch Sabine, Slade covering third, and Jones second base. The change was not an advantageous one, as neither men filled their positions acceptably. Young caught Sabine well, although he got somewhat "rattled" at times. In the first inning, '90 made five runs on hits and errors of '89. After this '89 got down to work and for the rest of the game played a sharp fielding game. '89 was unable to hit Sabine reffectually, but their few hits were welltimed...
