...Although the University team has played few games during the examination period, regular practice has been held, and it has developed increased speed in team play and more accurate shooting. The trick formations from the toss-up have been perfected, and seldom fail to work satisfactorily. Worcester Polytechnic has a fast team, which has played more games than the University team. They were, however, outclassed by Holy Cross, which was easily defeated by Harvard. The University team should have little difficulty in winning tonight...
...Although Brittany furnished Western Europe with its legends of the middle ages, it is only in the 19th century that its popular literature has been given to the world at large. Yet there are three definite spheres in which the Breton imagination has wielded a unique influence. First is the legend: the country, its forest, its rocky shores, are peopled with fairies, sirens, and heroes, and the Breton genius has stamped them with a mystery all its own. In this half the Harvard team was able to do more passing and, although the play was not confined to one end of the floor, Yale was allowed few tries for baskets...
...University hockey team in its third intercollegiate game defeated Brown on the Stadium Rink yesterday by the score of 4 to 0. Although poorly-played and rough, the game was very interesting. For the first few minutes the University team was clearly outplayed, and only the good work of the defense prevented Brown from scoring. Both sides relied on individual work and shot wildly when near their opponent's goal. After five minutes of play Townsend scored the only goal of the half on a long shot. Most of the rest of the period the puck was in Harvard...
