...playing of the University team in the field was good, with the exception of one inexcusable error by Randall who dropped an easy throw. All the men fielded cleanly, and threw with considerable accuracy. The batting of the team was only fair, although the opposing pitchers were not above average ability. The hits were, however, advantageously massed at opportune moments. In this department, Matthews did the best individual work, making four safe hits out of six chances at the bat including a three-base and a two-base hit. The base-running of the men showed great improvement over their...

...given at the club theatre Monday and Tuesday evenings, April 13 and 14. Tickets for the first performance are almost entirely sold out, but for Undergraduate Night, April 14, there are still a number of good seats on sale at Thurston's. The price of all seats is $2.00. A drizzling rain, unfavorable wind and heavy sea made fast time impossible, but did not deprive the race of the distinction of being among the most interesting of recent years. Although the winning crews won by about three lengths, their lead was gained only after a very hard struggle in which the stronger drive and snappier catch of the Weld crews eventually brought victory. The quality of the work of all the crews gives promise of exceptional racing in the finals...
