Yesterday morning the Crimsons and Volunteers played their second game for the amateur championship. The game was the closest and best played of any, thus far, both sides playing an almost errorless game. For six innings both teams went out in one, two, three order, the work of the batteries being extremely effective. After that, the Volunteers, by timely hits and by an error of the second baseman of the Crimsons, scored the winning runs, as their lead was too great to be overcome. The Crimsons pluckily tried to win, however, in the face of these obstacles...
