...jetizens aboard the A380 as it made a somewhat wobbly landing, some of whom have come from as far as Australia to be among the first to fly it, the arguments about economics and hub-and-spoke miss the point. The Air France A380 is new, massive, filled with technology and right now the only one flying the Atlantic's most glamorous route. It's a glimpse of better days, when flying was still an adventure, even if it never ceases to be a chore...
Murder is among the most heinous of crimes, but the slaying of Marwa el-Sherbini, a pregnant 31-year-old Egyptian, was more terrible than most. During a July 1 hearing in Dresden, Germany, Russian-born Alex Wiens, in court to appeal his conviction for spewing racial epithets at el-Sherbini, leaped from the defendant's dock and stabbed her to death. Wiens then turned his knife on el-Sherbini's husband, who was mistakenly shot by police in the scuffle. (He survived.) By tonight, according to studio estimates, it will have earned $140.7 million, which makes the film a prime mover...

But the cancer, which is primarily caused by infection with the sexually transmitted human papillomavirus (HPV), is rare among teens under 20. Only about 14 cases are reported each year in the U.S. in teenagers, compared with 123 cases among women ages 20 to 24, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The numbers were low enough in young women to prompt the ACOG to push back...
Cervical cancer is slow growing - giving doctors time to find it - and studies show that among women in their 20s, the risk of developing cervical cancer does not increase by reducing the frequency of Pap tests to every two years. Although the HPV infection rate is high among sexually active teens and young adults, the virus is typically cleared by the woman's immune system within a year or two of infection. Few cases of HPV infection lead to cancer; when they do, the cancer may develop up to 10 to 20 years after exposure to the virus...
