Joel Kotin took the 50-yard breast-stroke in 31.9 seconds for Kirkland, with Tom Angell of Quincy second and team-mate Dick Carey third. Fred Casperson and Bill Stiles placed one-two in the 50-yard butterfly for Kirkland, as Jim Schroeder of Quincy placed third.
Other scorers for the House were Tom Lightbody (third in the fly), Tom Angell (third in the breaststroke), and Paul Aronoldi (second in the backstroke). The freestyle quartet beat its Yale counterpart, but the medley team missed a chance to win the meet with a victory.
Quincy won the 200 medley relay in 2:02.9 with a team of Thomas Angell, Lightbody, Mayers, and Schroeder. Angell won the 50 breaststroke in 35.9 seconds. John Arnold of Leverett was second.
