Biography in dramatic or fictional guise is in itself not a form hitherto unknown. Inevitably the reader thinks of Drink-water's "Abraham Lincoln" and Shaw's "Saint Joan", on one hand and Maurois' "Ariel: The Lfe of Shelley" and E.
