Unfortunately this latter type of fighting does not appeal to human nature. Ask a man whether he would rather see two boxers mix for the fun of it and applaud them in between rounds or watch two men maul each other in a fight and he would undoubtedly answer in the negative. The giving and taking of blows is more exciting than the mutual warding off of opponents gloves.
