...answer to Joel Stein's question "Should I Opt for Circumcision?" is absolutely not [April 27]! I was circumcised as an infant by a respected doctor. I had to have a second operation 25 years later to correct this doctor's incomplete work. At the time, I researched the rationale for the procedure. Other than the rare medical need, I found no rational reason to inflict unnecessary pain on one's child.
