Charles ("Sonny") Liston, 38, former world heavyweight champion; of causes as yet unknown, although sheriff's deputies found puncture marks in each arm and a quarter ounce of heroin in the kitchen; in Las Vegas (his wife found his body in their home about a week after his death). ...doctors obviously did something right. Though Matthew became critically ill in mid-November and was semicomatose for several days, he has made remarkable progress since then. The tracheotomy tube has been removed from his throat, he has regained the use of his left arm and has begun to undergo speech therapy to overcome impairment to his vocal cords.
