After a careful survey the committee selected the Armenian orphanage for boys, a Greek home for begger children, and two Rusian homes, to be their guests. One hundred and fifty-five children under the age of twelve arrived at the college on the afternoon of January 5, the Greek Orthodox Christmas day.
