He is on a 24-hour house arrest with an electronic bracelet and round-the-clock monitoring of his building by a security firm. That's as strict as you can get without detention. ...Today was also the original deadline for an indictment, one that would most likely lay out the charges in greater detail than initially put forth in the 76-page criminal complaint filed by U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald at Blagojevich's arrest. But four days ago, a federal judge for northern Illinois granted Fitzgerald's request for a 90-day extension. ...British Columbia Attorney General Wally Oppal ended speculation that the government intended to co-exist with Bountiful by ordering the arrest of settlement spiritual leaders Blackmore, 52, and James Oler, 44, under charges of polygamy. According to press accounts, Blackmore is alleged to have as many as 26 wives and 108 children.
