Three paintings loaned by Paul J. Sachs '00, of New York, have been placed on temporary exhibition in the gallery of the Fogg Art Museum. One of these is a portrait of Martin Luther bearing the date of 1546 and the dragon crest signature of Lucas Cranach, but in all probability is a work of his school. Prominent among these is the Fogg Art Museum, which has just announced a special exhibit of famous paintings. A census of the students who will visit the Museum to see this collection, or, indeed who will visit it to see any collection, would undoubtedly bring out the fact that a pitifully small number of men are availing themselves of an opportunity which is at their very door. If there is a Harvard indifference, this is it, and in its worst form. Perhaps a better word for it is thoughtlessness...

Professor George H. Chase, of the Classical Department will speak on "Archaic Greek Art" in the Archaic Greek Art Room of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts tomorrow at 4 o'clock.
