The centre page drawing, although evidently intended to be taken seriously is yet very funny from the artist's curious conception of horses and his grotesque style. The best individual picture are a halfpage drawing representing an optical illusion, and two small sketches illustrating rather time worn jokes. Contrary to custom, the long articles are easily the best reading of this number. Deserving of especial mention is a clever take-off on a recent Advocate story, and a pretended unpublished letter written by Li Hung Chang...
