...effort got at least one thing right: when I tried to alter my suggested tweet in order to ask New York Senator Charles Schumer if he agreed with me that this whole thing was rather asinine, the tweet posted - but never showed up on the U.S. map. (Touché.) In the Twitter battle for health-care reform, there's not a lot of room to go off message...

So anything that would relieve her pain or her suffering or extend her life in a way that she wished is something I wanted to do, and I would have paid for it out of pocket if I had to. I do look at the polling on health care, partly because I think that there is a terrific case to be made to the American public. But it is - this is complicated, it's difficult. Without giving you a hard time, Karen, because I think you've been terrific in reporting this, the press gets bored with the details easily...
