It's true that the vanguard of the anti-abortion movement doesn't consist entirely of violent vigilantes. Then again, most Islamic fundamentalists across the Middle East don't believe in violence--just the assimilation of their views into the political fabric of their nations.
Countering Assimilation
Eliezer Krumbein '46-'47. Frank M. Lowenberg '47 and Frost, the three founders of Harvard's Hillel chapter, say Jewish students had previously lacked a cultural identity. Indeed, the organization was formed partially to counter the widespread assimilation of Harvard Jews into the broader campus culture.
"We need to invest massive resources for poorer sections and rural areas to ensure a smooth assimilation [towards a new economy]," he said.
