Last week in Manhattan, at the home of Mrs. Vincent Astor, met the Board of Directors of the Philharmonic Society.* Chairman Clarence H. Mackay made announcements. He said that Arturo Toscanini had agreed to conduct the Philharmonic Orchestra in a series of concerts next year.
