Currently, Hadzi has two commissions on his hands. Later this year he will see the installation of his yet-unnamed sculpture fountain in the indoor atrium of the new Copley Place mall in Boston. Running up and down the center of the 60 by 30-foot sculpture are large granite pieces with varying colors, shapes and textures. Water runs down from the top, occasionally disappearing behind the granite. Flanking the middle section on either side are "gates" of travertine from Italy, Turkey and Iran. Within the nine-story Hart Building, Warnecke has created a vast 100-ft.-high skylit atrium of the kind that Architect Kevin Roche pioneered at the Ford Foundation headquarters in New York City. This eliminates the endless, oppressive corridors of other congressional buildings and lets additional daylight into the offices, which are entered from open galleries surrounding the atrium. Unlike the Ford Foundation's atrium, which sports a lush tropical garden, the Hart Building's inner court is as yet a marble void.
