The forward line was greatly strengthened by the return of Hopkins, and was able to break up the opposing attack most of the time and to keep the play largely in the B. A. A. territory. Professor W. Z. Ripley, Nathaniel Ropes Professor of Political Economy, has been unable to meet his classes since the Christmas recess owing to a severe attack of grippe which developed into pneumonia. Professor Ripley's condition is now considerably improved and he is recuperating at Hampton, Va. He expects to return to his home in Newton next, Sunday and if possible will meet his classes on the following Tuesday...

...split-even with the Syracuse Hockey Club, the first game being won by the University 5 to 2 and the second lost 2 to 1. The team-work of the University forwards was for the most part good; although the shooting was weak; the defense withstood attack very well, but seemed unable to take the puck out from behind the goal. Every game was stiff and extremely beneficial to the team as it had to fight uphill battles.
