William Hobbs Goodwin '84 died last Saturday at his home in Brookline after a brief illness of pneumonia brought on by an attack of the grippe. At Harvard Mr. Goodwin look a prominent part in athletics, rowing on his Freshman crew and later running on the track team. Since the last intercollegiate game with Columbia on January 21 the play of the University team has slightly improved. The forwards follow back well on the defense but their passing is unreliable, often weakening the effect of the attack. When near the opponents' goal many chances to score are lost as the men fail to keep their positions and are very slow in shooting.
