Beals kicked off and Hayes returned to Hurley at the 45 yard line. Hurley then made 15 yards. Dibblee tried to kick, but Waters broke through and blocked it. Hayes lost one yard, but on the next attempt made a run for 20 yards. Then the Graduates tried one of their ground kicks through the line and Harvard got the ball on the 5 yard line.
