There was once an athletic meeting that happened to attend which commenced on time. A new organization managed it, their first attempt, and probably they didn't know any better. But it does seem a pity that our annual class races cannot get started inside of two hours behind the time set. If experience teaches that the boats can't be got off before half past five why not announce that hour?
