...pump was removed is not very clear. The pump was not blown to atoms as reported in the newspapers; the damage was comparatively slight, and could have been easily repaired. We suppose, therefore, that the College authorities removed the pump as a matter of discipline. Granting that the attempt on the pump was a malicious one, the removal is hardly a punishment to the perpetrators.
