Those breezes usually leave behind another layer of managers in the central office, another mandatory service to be provided to the needy few, another couple of hundred pages of education code telling teachers what they should do and when. Beginning immediately, central libraries such as Lamont, Hilles and Cabot should be kept open 24 hours every day. As library workers and students will attest, students would definitely take advantage of the extra hours.
