...Elis are traditionally powerful in the sprints, and this year's team is so potent that it has been breaking world, national, and intercollegiate freestyle relay records virtually at will. Last Saturday against Princeton a 400-yard relay team composed of Rex Aubrey, Dave Armstrong, Roger Anderson, and Tim Jecko did a fantastic 3:16.1 to set a world mark in the event. This not only leaves the Crimson relay record straggling some ten seconds behind, but bodes ill for Dyer in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle races...

Ironically, the worst split on the relay was recorded by Aubrey, supposedly the Elis leading sprinter and holder of the present Yale record at 49.0. It seems likely, however, that Kiphuth will throw his ace, and perhaps Armstrong, against Dyer, for he makes a practice of loading the events in which he expects tough competition. John Lind or Ron Mischner will have the dubious pleasure of swimming in the same race...

...under wraps all season, in overwhelming Princeton, 66 to 20. One week ago the Crimson defeated the same opponent by the slightly smaller margin of 66 to 24. Highlight of the Eli victory was the performance of the 400-yard freestyle relay team. A quartet made up of Rex Aubrey, Dave Armstrong, Roger Anderson, and Tim Jaecko raced to a world's record time of 3 minutes 16.1 seconds in this event. In the process, Armstrong, Anderson, and Jaecko were all unofficially clocked in lap-times that bettered the recognized 100-yard record...

Dialogues of Dolls. As spelled out by Rebecca West, the tragedy of genius is that there is no way of judging whether it is real or illusory. When father Aubrey, for instance, takes balloons and other airborne things quite seriously, even his best friends fear that he will go round the bend unless he takes a complete rest. Misguided Cordelia, on the other hand, is believed by her schoolteacher to be an infant prodigy. Obsessed with convictions of her own genius, she fiddles madly before audiences of ardent ignoramuses. When at last a tough old professional assures her that...

...more frenetic, who seem to be largely concentrated in California, offer radio listeners and TViewers a number of many-splendored things in return. Faith Healer Leroy Kopp offers "instantaneous and gradual healing" over Los Angeles' KGER. Brother Aubrey Lee asks ailing listeners to place their hands on their radio sets while he intones: "We rebuke that vile disease. Satan, take your vile disease from that body. God bless everyone in the household, including old grandma or granddad with that old rheumatism." Inducements offered by others: a plastic cross that glows in the dark ("the glow...
