...might absorb sound. In that case, I highly recommend the YSP-800. In a more cavernous room, the YSP would have no way to bounce sound and would lose a certain amount of depth. If that's your situation, you might want to try a speaker such as Polk Audio's SurroundBar ($950), which does require an amplifier, but replaces five unsightly speakers in a way that's not dependent on the shape of the room...

...have an HD TV set, you can see photos and other content (games, etc.) at the sharpest resolution possible. I was happy that it included wires to connect to my high-definition television. It also has a slot for the optical wire that transmits surround sound audio to a full-fledged Dolby Digital receiver, though you need to buy the optical wire itself at RadioShack or some other electronics shop...

QUAKE 4 It's based on thegorgeously photo-realistic Doom 3 software. It runs on the muscular new Xbox 360 hardware. It features concert-hall-clear audio effects (listen to those tinkly brass shell casings bounce!) and the ultrafast, hyperviolent futuristic military combat that made the Quake franchise a thing of legend, including classic death-match action and some brand-new elements--vehicular combat and squad tactics--thrown in for good measure.
