Dr. Allan Hildesheim, an epidemiologist at the National Cancer Institute, and his colleagues set out to determine whether Cervarix - a new HPV vaccine for which GlaxoSmithKline hopes to get federal approval in early 2008 - could help reduce the virus-load in women already infected with HPV.
