YOUR last issue contained an interesting and amusing communication relative to the stained-glass window in Memorial Hall. The author of that communication confesses his ignorance of the character which the design was intended to represent, although the name of Sir Philip Sidney was inscribed on the window, and mistakes that pensive individual for the Chevalier Bayard who was destined to occupy the other half of the double window...

We think it is about time that a few words should be said in defence of the Glee Club, inasmuch as that body has lately been the subject of much unjust criticism, both in and out of print. We entirely dissent from opinions expressed by the author of "More Music at Harvard," and publish the article merely because it presents the stock criticisms in a form convenient to answer. ...Crimson of January 11 there appeared an article entitled "An Index to the North American Review." The article was mainly a compilation of facts from the Index lately completed by Mr. Cushing of the Harvard Library, and cost the author some time and trouble. In the Literary World of March 1 we find an article, "The Index to the North American Review," about which we wish to say a few words. We are always glad that the merits of the Crimson should be duly appreciated, and we cannot help feeling grateful to the gentleman whose name appears...
