...That may do little for Bhutto's heirs - being seen as a friend of the U.S. is not a great way of ensuring a long and quiet life in Pakistan - and may do little for the U.S. as well. For what the world desperately needs if Pakistan is to avoid another 60 years of tragedy is a political settlement there that does not depend on military men, dynasties - or the infusion of U.S. dollars. No sign of that...
