...University team had a decidedly off day and during the first part of the game played very erratic ball. Syracuse got a single, and a home run off Hardy in the first inning, scoring two runs. Kling hit for three bases but was caught trying to get home. Babson replaced him at this point, but was in turn replaced by Ernst in the seventh inning. Three bad errors materially assisted in giving Syracuse their other three runs. The fine fielding of the visitors was in sharp contrast to that of Harvard.
